🩺 Celebrating PA Week: From Patient Care to Empowering Confidence

Each year, October 6–12 marks National Physician Assistant Week—a time to honor the compassion, skill, and dedication of PAs who make a difference in patients’ lives every single day.

As a Physician Assistant for over seven years, this week is especially meaningful to me. My career began in the burn center, where I cared for patients facing some of the most painful and emotional challenges imaginable. That experience shaped how I view medicine—through a lens of empathy, healing, and the incredible resilience of the human body and spirit.

🔥 From Burn Care to Aesthetic Care

Working in the burn center taught me the true importance of skin health and the impact it has on confidence and quality of life. Skin isn’t just our largest organ—it’s deeply connected to how we see ourselves and how we heal, both physically and emotionally. For some, the mental healing was harder than the physical.

Transitioning into aesthetics was very spontaneous, but felt like a natural evolution. It allowed me to take that same medical precision and compassion and apply it toward empowering confidence and helping people feel comfortable in their own skin.

At Sweet Lily Laser, every treatment is performed through a medical lens—with safety, anatomy, and patient care at the heart of everything we do. Whether it’s laser hair removal or skincare treatments, my goal is to combine medical expertise with a gentle, personalized approach that helps each client look and feel their best.

To my fellow Physician Assistants—thank you for everything you do! Whether you’re in the ER, family medicine, surgery, or aesthetics, your dedication changes lives every day. I’ve had the honor of graduating with the most inspirational and amazing PAs (OUHSC), being taught by amazing professors who were PAs, and have had the privilege of working alongside other amazing PAs.

And to my amazing patients—thank you for trusting a PA to care for your skin and confidence.
